Maïa (Humanism in the Bambara language) is a non-profit association based in Bobo-Dioulasso. 
                    It was created in 1994 by Aminata Diallo and officially recognized in 1998 by receipt N°98-140/MATS/PHUE/HC/DAG of 09/25/98
                
Promote the enrollment and retention of young girls in school
                    -Contribute to curbing retrograde practices and ideas that hinder the development of the girl 
                    - Promote sex education for young youth and boys 
                    - give out-of-school girls vocational training 
                    - Empower women through Women's Income Generating Activities (IGA)
                
The vision of the Maïa association is that of a school where the education of girls is promoted, a school without early and unwanted pregnancies for girls.
                    - Raising awareness among young girls and boys on issues of sexual and reproductive health, violence, STIs/AIDS, women's rights and gender. 
                    - Vocational training for the benefit of young women and girls.
