The Pan-African Organization for the Research and Protection of Violence Against Women and Children (PAORP-VWC) is a non-governmental human rights and development organization created on 05/02/2008 and registered in Ghana on September 12, 2008 with the Department of the Registrar General under the name of a Charity No G-25,584 and the Department of Social Welfare Ghana under the registration number DSW/4437. The association is also registered in Cameroon with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development under number NW/GP/040/10/13150 in accordance with Law No. 92/006 of August 14, 1992 and its implementing decree. No. 92/455/PM of November 23, 1992. Although a charitable organization, we believe in an integrated and participatory approach in promoting meaningful change that will provide a safer environment for women and children rather than just being charitable to them by meeting their daily needs for basic food, shelter and clothing. PAORP-VWC is a non-sectarian, non-political, non-profit organization that lobbies policy makers and opinion leaders on behalf of women and children who are the most vulnerable in society and whose voices are not never taken into consideration. when important decisions need to be made. PAORP.VWC is headquartered in Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana. Being in its conceptual phase, the activities of PAORP.VWC are highly concentrated in villages and towns in Ghana where violence and the worst forms of abuse against women and children are on the increase. Established by professional human rights development consultants from many African countries, the activities of PAORP-VWC will in the near future be extended to other African countries and new offices will be established in these countries to expand the work of the organization.

PAORP-VWC works in all areas where discrimination against women and children takes place. To fight against this societal evil, the organization engages in a series of research and investigation missions to be able to identify all the causes of violence, abuse and discrimination that militate against women and children. PAORP-VWC is an organization oriented towards research and development of human rights and supports agricultural activities in all its forms. These agricultural activities include the production of food/cash crops, fishing, beekeeping and animal husbandry, all aimed at providing additional income for women and children. Our intervention in this area is also to ensure that the worst forms of child labor abuse are eradicated in this sector. In order to fight against poverty, particularly in rural areas and among women, PAORP-VWC promotes income-generating activities through the support of industry, commerce, handicrafts, small businesses, credit/working capital facilities and ensures good health and nutrition for women and children. The PAORP-VWC also participates in development programs and projects. It covers women in development projects or programs aimed at developing disabled and vulnerable members of the population. Still in line with development, PAORP-VWC also supports and conducts research, particularly at the grassroots level, to identify development problems, make proposals or solve them in close collaboration with community actors. To ensure effective and equitable participation of all in the development process and guarantee the autonomy of women and children, the PAORP-VWC carries out education and training programs with members of the community. , especially women/youth groups, as well as management and capacity building programs with affiliated groups. Communication between the population, especially the rural poor who are mostly women/children, and the government is facilitated by the activities of PAORP-VWC . We are the voice of the voiceless, paving the way for the emancipation and empowerment of women and children in Africa as Africans.
The mission statement of PAORP-VWC is to seek out, organize, support, expand and strengthen the activities of women and youth groups to work for the realization of their rights and their empowerment within their communities. This will be done by providing them with the desired services and representing their interests with governments as well as national and international organizations.
